Miley the "other woman"?

I was watching E! news and this was the story:
After Miley and Liam Hemswoth kissed in the airport, Liam's (ex)girlfriend, Laura Griffin, talked to an Australian magazine, Woman's Day, about their FIVE year relationship and said that he came home and broke up with her. She also said: "He was my boyfriend and my bestfriend. There is no other reason why we would have broken up"...."It's Miley, how can I compete?"

Miley denies that there was ever anything going on between the two.

What are you thoughts?

I think that it is a possibility that Liam fell for Miley and he ended up breaking up with Laura because of it. It is also possible that Miley doesn't feel the same way about Liam and there never really was anything going on between him and her but maybe Liam thought otherwise. It could be a possible misscommunication that Liam thought Miley felt the same way. I don't think Miley would have a relationship with a guy who had a girlfriend, even if he did break up with her for her. I think she wouldn't stoop that low. I just think that Liam made a mistake and that's that.
